Town is a little place just off the freeway, unnoticed by most and dismissed by the rest. Town is a happy place even though it contains some fairly unique features. It’s Halloween and Toby along with his best friend Marissa, are looking forward to trick or treating. Which brings us to the uniqueness of Town, as the things going bump in the nighttime are very real. This is a known fact, accepted by most of Town with the added understanding the creatures going bump, do not attack children. Only some find this unusual and are trying to understand why. In the meantime, Toby and Marissa of the second and third grade, venture out alone. Unaware they are being watched and followed. Later Toby is awakened to discover an uninvited creature in his room and is taken on an adventure through Town at night. Discoveries and wonder and more terror than Toby has ever imagined await.
